CHANDIGARH, April 28, 2026: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday said his recent visit to the Netherlands and Finland has resulted in concrete global partnerships in agriculture, industry and innovation, aimed at benefiting farmers, youth and the state’s economy.

Presenting a report card of the visit, the Chief Minister highlighted a ₹1300 crore push backed by JICA, along with strong interest from global companies and advanced agri-tech collaborations. He said these developments will accelerate crop diversification, attract investment and position Punjab as a hub for innovation, research and high-value farming.

Mann said the delegation engaged with leading institutions, including the world-renowned horticulture model Keukenhof in the Netherlands, where discussions focused on strengthening agricultural cooperation and exploring opportunities such as exporting roses from Punjab.

He added that the visit aimed at forging partnerships in agriculture, promoting industrial investment, and enhancing collaboration in education and research, with a focus on technology exchange for the state’s holistic development.

The Chief Minister asserted that the Netherlands-Finland visit has laid the foundation for setting up R&D hubs, driving agri transformation and creating new opportunities for Punjab’s youth.
